Today’s businesses are under increasing pressure to become a
digital-native enterprise (DNE). According to IDC, who coined the term, DNE
refers to an organisation that “scales its operations and innovates at an order
of magnitude that is greater than that of traditional businesses” through
digitally-driven philosophies, best practices, tools and technologies.
The benefits of digitally transforming is becoming more and
more evident. But for a country like Malaysia where the adoption of new
technologies typically lags that of developed nations by a couple of years, it
is the rising global competition that is directly affecting them that has truly
made people realise that they have to adapt and embrace this wave of digital
change or be swept away by the currents.
